EXCLUSIVE: Brooke Lee and Lukas Nelson Premiere Summery Visualizer as They Join Forces to Sing the Praises of the Humble 'Dandelion'

After meeting at Luck Reunion last year, Brooke Lee and Lukas Nelson became fast friends, and now we get to enjoy the fruits of that friendship too.

As the story goes, Brooke played Lukas 'Dandelion' and almost immediately, he knew he had to jump on it, adding his classic country twang to Brooke Lee's smoky soulful vocals for a laid back, sun-drenched delta country toe tapper and effortlessly cool anthem of resilience.

"I've been ripped right out of the ground so my roots don't run too deep / I've been wished on a thousand times with promises I don't keep," Lee sings, as she likens her own life force to the hardy character of one of nature's regular little warriors. Often overlooked as a troublesome weed, dandelions are quietly respected for their resilience and perseverance, as well as their endearing ability to overcome adversity and thrive under challenging conditions, pushing through the concrete and returning year after year thanks to their deep irremovable taproots.

"I'm a Dandelion / just dancing in the breeze / not a flower not a flower, not a weed," the duo harmonise in their paean to following your own flow and taking life as it comes. "You can keep your roses and I'll keep growing wild."

Originally written as an uplifting cut about pushing through hardship and coming out stronger on the other side, as Brooke dealt with the sickness and eventual loss of her grandfather, the song took on an even deeper meaning and this song became her anthem.

"This one’s really close to my heart," Brooke Lee shares. "I’ve been wanting to put it out for years, so the fact that it’s finally coming - and that one of my good friends is on it with me - makes it even more special. It’s about growing wherever you’re planted and finding beauty in whatever season you’re in. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it."
