Having announced their new album on Friday, Blackberry Smoke celebrated during their headline set at The Long Road Festival on Saturday night by performing their brand new single, 'Dig A Hole'.
"Y'all look beautiful tonight under the English moonlight" Charlie Starr tells the warming crowd on the chilly night in Leicestershire. While those in attendance might not be totally familiar with the group's work to singalong, they're more than happy to have a casual boogie under the clouds. "Thanks hun" one member of the crowd even retorts.
On a big festival stage like the Rhinestone, the seven-piece can dip into many a mighty groove - with their southern stars and stripes foundations, they deliver some meaty, textured riffs throughout.
The strutting groove of 'Let It Burn' gets the crowd a little more pumped, while 'Hey Delilah' is a bluesy, Stones-esque bop, the band increasingly easing into the occasion as Starr coaxes those in attendance into fist-pumping
The Atlanta seven-piece used their Long Road Festival headline set as the perfect opportunity to announce their new album, Be Right Here. Produced by Dave Cobb and recorded at the legendary RCA Studio A, the band's eighth studio record will be released on February 16, 2024 via Three Legged Records / Thirty Tigers.
In preparation for its release, the group are set to tour for the majority of the rest of the year, including dates in Alabama and Florida in support of Turnpike Troubadours and a wave of headline shows across the US with Miles Miller, Red Shahan and Ben Chapman in support.
