In case anybody was still unsure as to whether the hype surrounding Bailey Zimmerman was worth listening to, Billboard has surely dispelled any lingering uncertainties with their year-end charts. They named Zimmerman fourth in their list of 2022's Top New Artists, with his fellow young country star, Zach Bryan, taking second position.
He was also chosen as No. 2 on Billboard's Top New Country Artists chart, with only Bryan ranking above him.
The news comes hot off the heels of ‘Fall in Love’ becoming Zimmerman's first ever Country Radio No. 1. The Platinum song, which was taken from his heavy-hearted 2022 EP, Leave The Light On, has quickly become a fan-favourite, and was chosen as one of Holler's Songs of the Year 2022.
Even though he continues to enjoy immense success with the single, the Louisville prodigy is already starting to tease new music.
Earlier in the week, he posted a snippet of an unreleased song entitled, ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’, which is set to drop this month.
The track looks set to continue in the same, heartbroken spirit that drove Leave The Light On. It's a chart-topping sound that keeps winning Zimmerman new listeners, and his latest year-end recognition from Billboard will surely only amplify this.
Zimmerman was also confirmed as a performer on the iconic Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin’ Eve.
The annual TV special, which will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest, is set to air on December 31 on ABC. Zimmerman will be joined by artists such as Maddie & Tae, Halle Bailey, Ciara and more.
