Ashley Cooke is currently in the middle of a sprawling list of 2023 tour dates, but - excitingly - this hasn't stopped the Floridian prodigy from taking some time out to finish up her debut album.
As she keeps one eye on the upcoming record, Cooke shared a brand new song snippet across her socials, ‘It Ain't Your Place’, with fans hoping the unreleased track will feature on her new project.
‘It Ain't Your Place’ is a break-up anthem that finds Cooke showcasing her distinctive ability to combine conversational, relatable lyricism with a sinuous, irresistible melody.
On the new track, Ashley Cooke rebukes her ex as he tries to work his way back into her life. Although the temptation lingers, Cooke transforms his attempts into a feel-good, I-don't-need-you anthem.
The ‘Never Til Now’ hitmaker continues to earn herself a burgeoning group of listeners, with Cooke having released an array of impressive singles in recent months, such as ‘it's been a year’ and ‘running back’. Ashley Cooke also delivered a series of eye-catching performances during the UK and Ireland's C2C Festival 2023 in March.
This has ensured the sense of anticipation is sky-high for Ashley Cooke's debut album, which is due to be released later in 2023. However, we're hoping we'll be able to hear the official studio version of ‘It Ain't Your Place’ before that record drops.
