It's time for a ‘Good Time’, y'all.
Alan Jackson has surprised and delighted fans by unveiling his ’Last Call’ tour, with a blockbuster array of dates lined up across 2024 and 2025 in Massachusetts, Michigan, Arkansas, Missouri, Utah, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida and Milwaukee.
Although not explicitly billed as a farewell tour, the phrasing of the announcement seemingly confirms that this will indeed be the ‘Chattahoochee’ icon's last ever run of shows, with Alan Jackson's official Instagram post outlining how Jackson will be, “bringing 30 years of hits to a city near you one final time”.
Given the fact that Alan Jackson was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in 2021, a genetic condition that hampers muscle function, some fans had assumed Jackson would no longer be able to embark on the nation-spanning tours he used to.
Thankfully, though, the country music world will get the chance to see the Georgia legend rattling through his wealth of chart-toppers before he calls it quits for good.
Whether you were first drawn to Alan Jackson's ability to deliver a heartbreaking, spine-tingling ballad like ‘Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)’, or his penchant for breezy, alcohol-soaked anthems such as the ubiquitous ‘It's Five O'Clock Somewhere’ with his good buddy Jimmy Buffett, it's safe to say Jackson's Last Call tour will provide something special for everyone.
With the forthcoming Last Call: One More for the Road dates not including tour-stops in hotspots such as Tennessee or California, we're keeping our fingers crossed Alan Jackson decides to sprinkle a few more shows in along the way for good measure.
