During the opening night of his summer stadium tour, George Strait gave fans not only a night to remember but also left them with something to look forward to.

At Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday night (May 4), the country legend let the album of the bag when he announced a new studio release – dubbed Cowboys and Dreamers – and even debuted a few of its offerings alongside roadmate Chris Stapleton.

It was during his two-hour career-spanning showcase that the artist revealed what's to come. “We got some new stuff, too, I’m gonna throw in throughout the night, because I broke down and did another record, and I’m gonna play a few of those for you tonight,” he told the crowd, according to a report from Billboard.

He shared several forthcoming tracks, performing one called “Three Drinks Behind” solo before being joined by Stapleton on upcoming offerings called “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” and “You Don’t Know What You’re Missing”.

While no official release date has been announced, Cowboys and Dreamers will mark the star's 31st studio effort and will act as the follow-up to his 2019 released Honky Tonk Time Machine.

Late last year, Strait announced he was extending his stadium run into 2024, seeing star-quality support in Stapleton and Little Big Town along the way. Next on the trek, they will take on Jacksonville, Florida's EverBank Stadium ahead of a summer peppered with even more shows and perhaps a new album.
