Question: How much merch is too much to sign after a show? Answer: not 5,000 people's worth.
At least that’s how Megan Moroney saw it after her second show in Knoxville on Saturday (April 12).
“We just finished the show in Knoxville, night two, and they were so loud. I have a margarita in my cup and a week off starting now, so what I’m gonna do is go inside and sign every piece of merch until I run out of people.”
“How many people were there tonight?” she asks her crew after she’s decided on the endeavour. “5,000? Seems like a pretty simple task…we’ll see how it goes.”
In her ‘hot girl hooves’ and ‘Megan Moroney’ camo shirt, the ‘I’m Not Pretty’ singer stayed at the merch table until every last piece that had been bought was signed.
Crowds of blue, orange and camo – the Moroney rainbow if ever there was one – queued down the stairway, out of the doors and along the street, waiting patiently for the Georgia Girl’s signature.
“We’re taking a 30-second margarita break,” she says to the camera before enjoying a giant gulp out of her thermos (priorities in check, duh).
There were hugs, tears and squeals of joys and excitement as Moroney made her way through the thousands and thousands of posters, shirts and…astronaut helmets? Not to mention the plasters required for blisters on her hands.
“Be safe getting home,” she shouted to the final two girls that waited for their Moroney moment, before she lay across her table, exhausted.
Performing two sold-out shows and staying all night to sign every single piece of merch? Megan Moroney really is giving everything she’s got to her fans.
Moroney is deep into her Am I Okay? 2025 tour, with the singer headed back out on the road on April 24 in Fishers, Indiana.
