A NASHVILLE COUNTRY CHRISTMAS 2022

Date: Monday, December 12th

Time: 8p/7c

Channel: CMT

Cast: Tanya Tucker, Ana Ortiz, Keith Carradine and more

‘Delta Dawn’ hitmaker Tanya Tucker will make her acting debut on December 12 in Paramount's new Christmas movie. A Nashville Country Christmas will be simulcast on CMT at 8p/7c.

The festival film follows Tucker's flamboyant character as she trades in her high-flying lifestyle for the respite of her grandmother's farm. It looks set to be a classic, warm-hearted, country Christmas film that celebrates the beauty of reconnecting with your roots and adopting a slower pace of life, rather than continuing to lose yourself in the relentless rat race.

Tucker will be joined on-screen by Ana Ortiz and Academy Award winner, Keith Carradine. Also making an appearance will be Nashville TV star, Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

While it marks Tanya Tucker's first acting appearance, she is no stranger to the big screen, having released her insightful documentary, The Return of Tanya Tucker, earlier in 2022.

It explored the creation of her 2019 album, While I'm Livin’, and showcased the instrumental role played by Brandi Carlile in ending Tucker's long musical hiatus.

The momentous project was Tucker's first full-length album in 17 years, and was largely instigated by both Carlile and Shooter Jennings, who co-produced the record.

Tucker released ‘Ready As I'll Never Be’ to celebrate the documentary's US release in October.

A Nashville Country Christmas will carry a comparatively playful and festive tone, but it will no doubt be another feel-good watch for Tanya Tucker's large fanbase.

Paramount's A Nashville Country Christmas will receive an encore showing on Christmas Day at 11a/10c.
