It might seem like the artist we now know and love as Dasha might've fallen clear out of the sky one random day in 2024, but her story is one that started with a little girl and a big dream.

Hailing from San Luis Obispo, California, she was born as Anna Dasha Novotny and grew up immersed in the world of country, folk and Americana music. She began writing music at the age of ten and initially pursued a career in pop music, where she first began using her middle name as her stage name. She released her debut album, Dirty Blonde, in 2023, which featured standout singles like 'Love Me Till August' and 'Olivia,' among others.

Feeling a disconnect in that world, though, she soon turned her attention to her first love: country music. Moving from LA to Nashville, the young artist reconnected with and honed her songwriting craft, creating music that resonated more deeply with her personal experiences and artistic vision.

Dasha quietly released what would become her breakout, viral hit, 'Austin (Boots Stop Workin'),' in November of 2023, and by April, the whole world had heard the career-defining hit. Propelling her onto award show stages, late night TV, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and so much more, the song served as the centerpiece to her sophomore record and first true country album, What Happens Now?. Riding the 'Austin' wave, the budding entertainer has been following it up with one infectious hit after another, culminating in the deluxe edition of the record, which took her through the end of 2024.

At the turn of 2025, Dasha began teasing her next musical chapter, kicking things off with the instant earworm, 'Not At This Party.' However, with this third studio album, it's evident that Dasha is no longer chasing those quick viral hits, but instead looking to prove that she deserves the multitude of flowers that have been given to her since the onset of 'Austin.'

With well over a billion streams to her credit on Spotify alone, Dasha has earned her stripes as a frontrunner in this next generation of country superstars, all while inspiring others with her journey and showing that there's so much more to her than one little line dance.
