Charles Wesley Godwin is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and refreshing voices within the new, alt-country wave of artists.

While the likes of Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan continue to position themselves at the forefront, artists such as Wesley Godwin are following closely behind.

Having spent much of 2022 on the road with his good friend, Bryan, Wesley Godwin has built a head of steam that looks set to intensify well into the new year.

Since Zach Bryan's American Heartbreak tour reached its conclusion in November, Charles Wesley Godwin has been playing a variety of more intimate venues across New England, Missouri and more.

He has also been added to the line-ups for Railbird Music Festival 2023 and Two Step Inn 2023.

While Wesley Godwin continues his 2022 end-of-year run, fans will be hoping to hear some unreleased tracks at his live shows, such as the recently teased ‘West of Lonesome’.

The West Virginia songsmith posted a video of him playing the introspective track towards the end of November, which he swiftly followed up with a moving cover of Kathy Mattea's ‘Eighteen Wheels & A Dozen Roses’.

In December, as well as being unveiled as a performer at Hogs For The Cause 2023, Charles Wesley Godwin also announced a slew of concert dates that are scheduled for early 2023.

Cole Chaney and J.R. Carroll will be supporting Wesley Godwin for a number of his February shows.

In addition to these, he revealed that he'd be playing at Bulls, Bands, and Barrels on February 11. He'll be joined by Shane Smith at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

In mid-January, Charles Wesley Godwin announced that he would also be adding shows in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Birmingham, Alabama on March 30 and 31 respectively. These will be supported by Oklahoma singer-songwriter, Josh Meloy.

Later in the month, he introduced three further shows to his schedule in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland. These are set to take place towards the end of April, and will feature Tanner Usrey as the opener.

Excitingly, Wesley Godwin is set to step into the hallowed circle and make his Grand Ole Opry debut on February 10. He'll be performing alongside Lady A and Mark O'Connor.

Another highlight of Wesley Godwin's 2023 calendar will be his show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

The West Virginia singer-songwriter will be supporting Shane Smith & The Saints alongside Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway and Midnight River Choir on May 9.

It'll mark Wesley Godwin's first return to the iconic venue since he played at Red Rocks last year with Zach Bryan - a set that was recorded for Bryan's hugely popular live album, All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live From Red Rocks).

At the start of February, Charles Wesley Godwin revealed that he'd be joining Cody Jinks and Erin Viancourt for a couple of special shows in Huntsville, Alabama and Jacksonville, Florida in May.
