Charles Wesley Godwin is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and refreshing voices within the new, alt-country wave of artists.
While the likes of Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan continue to position themselves at the forefront, artists such as Godwin are following closely behind. Having spent much of the last several years as a bonafide road warrior, Godwin has built a head of steam that looks set to intensify well into 2025.
After a run of shows in April opening up for some of his personal musical heroes, The Avett Brothers, the West Virginia native will head across the pond in May for appearances in Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and London for the third annual Highways Festival.
Once back stateside, Godwin will resume The Lonely Mountain Town Tour on June 6 and continuing throughout the summer with stops in the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia and more. Throughout his headlining shows, he will also serve as support for a trio of dates on Willie Nelson's Outlaw Music Festival Tour from July 25-27.
In addition to his supporting slots, the 'Family Ties' tunesmith has also been tapped on several festival bills in 2025, including LASSO Montréal, the Long Road Festival, Windy City Smokeout, FairWell Festival and others.
Alongside Godwin, attendees will also be able to catch exciting opening performances from special guests.
The first batch of dates saw up-and-comer Nolan Taylor warm up the stage. Meanwhile, the summer dates will see a rotating bill of Colby Acuff, Kaitlin Butts and Drayton Farley with support varying by market.
With no shortage of hits tucked away in his catalogue, Godwin has quite the selection to choose from his when it comes to his live shows.
Lucky for us, the seasoned entertainer tends to keep the energy up, laying on loads of explosive tunes like 'All Again,' 'Another Leaf' and others. Mixing in plenty of older cuts, too, Godwin has also been borrowing several songs from his 2025 EP and the tour's namesake, Lonely Mountain Town.
