The Background:

Featured on the Netflix extended look for the highly anticipated video game GTA 6, the Bellamy Brothers 'Let Your Love Flow' has been revamped for a standing in current media yet again. Along with making appearances in hit TV shows long after its release, such as the 1999 episode of That 70s Show 'The Good Son' and an episode of historic television piece The Sopranos with its appearance on the 2004 episode 'Where's Johnny?', the song adds yet another "featured in" title to its list of media.

On the extended play trailer, the song is featured in a scene with characters Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, where the 1970s soft rock tune plays over the domestic aspects of the character's lives and relationship, showing parts of their dynamic that shine light on the love they share.

As for 'Let Your Love Flow,' the song was initially presented to the Bellamy Brothers by the drummer of the band behind folk and adult contemporary artist, Neil Diamond. As the story goes, the drummer stopped by the duo's house one day, shortly after their move to Los Angeles from Central Florida, to give them a demo of a song that "sounded like something they'd do."

Liking the tune, the Bellamy Brothers went off to record 'Let Your Love Flow,' and after official release, it became a No. 1 song for the year of 1976 - as well as one of the biggest songs ever.

The Sound:

Like many soft southern rock songs of its era, 'Let Your Love Flow' starts off with a bassy grove accompanied by upbeat strumming on an acoustic guitar. Light beats of a drum carry into this partnership between the bass and guitar, forming to create one tight sound - as the sweet melodies of a violin seem to be playing on a different radar.
