Railbird Festival is returning once again to Lexington, Kentucky in 2024 for another bumped packed festival for country, Americana and folk fans alike.
The event is back for its fourth instalment, armed with a blockbuster line-up featuring some of the biggest names in the genres, including headliners Chris Stapleton and Noah Kahan.
The festival is taking place once again in the heart of Lexington at the Red Mile, the second oldest harness-racing track in the world. Surrounded by gaming and horse racing entertainment, the festival is situated within the heart of the grounds, with three stages presenting a variety of music and amusements.
With the festival a stone's throw away from the city centre, it's more than possible to either drive or walk from your accommodation straight into the festival grounds. So, with the dates and line up announced and tickets on sale, we're getting you all prepared for your Lexington stay with Holler's guide of where to stay for Railbird Festival 2024.
The newly renovated Hilton Lexington is situated perfectly in the centre of Lexington city, offering you a place to stay that's close to the festival grounds while also being nestled in the heart of downtown.
Whether you're looking for a pool and gym on site, or something a little more relaxed with room service availability, the Hilton Lexington offers perfect opportunity for some R 'n' R between busy days dancing and singing to your hearts content down at Red Mile.
Breakfast is available at a cost, while the hotel's bar lounge, on-site coffee shop and two separate restaurants offers plenty of opportunity to grab a bite before and after a busy day at the festival.
If you'd prefer to stay somewhere a little more homely and private within touching distance of the festival, perhaps this gorgeous modern Townhouse in downtown is the place for you.
Merely a couple of blocks away from the famous Rupp Arena and only a 4 minute drive from the festival itself, this renovated 2-bedroom home in the Woodward Heights neighbourhood is perfect for some real downtime after a long day at the festival, particularly if you make the most of the private back patio.
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the downtown Keenland area of Lexington is a safe bet when it comes to clean and restful stays. With free breakfast included and a 24-hour health club, you can fill up on a hearty breakfast before heading down to Red Mile for Turnpike and Noah Kahan.
With a pool, free wifi and free parking on site, you can be safe in the knowledge that everything is covered and you'll have all the facilities you need for your stay while you enjoy yourself down at the festival.
Side by side with the convention center in downtown Lexington, the Hyatt Regency Lexington has all the amenities you'll need for your Kentucky stay while offering you a classy and luxurious stay.
Breakfast at the Hyatt is available to purchase in your package from $20.95 per person, while free WiFi is available and there is a pool, gym, bar and restaurant on site. Handily, there is also a free shuttle to take you to and from the airport if you fly in and out of the LEX-Bluegrass airport in Lexington.
Looking for something a little different to eat and drink while not at the festival? Why not visit McCarthy's Irish Bar or Pies & Pints, both within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.
While the Clarion Hotel is a little further out from the festival than our other recommendations, this family friendly stay is a suitable and affordable choice for the weekend at Railbird.
With breakfast included and a pool and hot tub situated in the building, there's plenty of opportunity to relax on a budget. With a game room and gym also set up inside, there's plenty of opportunity for fun outside of the festival.
If you fancy a little excursion outside of the festival, why don't you check out West Sixth Brewing and Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co, two of Lexington's premier micro breweries, only a few minutes drive from the hotel.
