Gabby Barrett has been announced as ACM New Female Artist of the Year.

ACM Awards host, Keith Urban, broke the news to Barrett via a video card message. Barrett is set to perform at the ACM Awards, alongside New Male Artist of the Year Jimmie Allen, on April 18th. The show, which will be broadcast on CBS will also post performances from Eric Church, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and Luke Combs to name just a few.

Like last year’s show, the ACMs will originate from three separate venues in Nashville: the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House, and the Bluebird Cafe. “Ever since I came into the country music community everybody has been absolutely wonderful to me,” Barrett said. “Thank you so much, it’s more than I deserve…. This made the whole year for me.” Barrett rose to fame through the talent contest American Idol and her debut single ‘I Hope’ topped the Billboard Country Songs and Country Airplay charts upon its release in 2019.

You can watch the ACM Awards on CBS on Sunday April 18th at 8pm ET.
