As fans keenly await news of Charles Wesley Godwin's How The Mighty Fall follow-up album, the West Virginia crooner continues to tease new music across his socials.

The latest of these unreleased snippets is a track called ‘Miner Imperfections’, which serves as a tribute to blue-collar fathers that haven't been getting the credit they deserve.

The heartwarming, folk-inspired ballad revolves around a witty play on the phrase ‘minor imperfections’, with Wesley Godwin underlining his pride at the way his father raised him (“He told me ‘Do what you love, misery’s a noose’ / Them city folks would shame him if he let them / But I’m proud of his miner imperfections”).

Listeners are hoping ‘Miner Imperfections’ makes its way onto the tracklist for Charles Wesley Godwin's first project with Big Loud Records, and the sweet, intricate ballad certainly feels as though it aligns with the rising star's other recently teased songs.

For instance, Charles Wesley Godwin has previously shared a touching ode to his daughter, entitled ‘Dance in Rain’, along with a song written specially for his son, ‘Gabriel’.

In addition to these unreleased teasers, the country-folk prodigy has been testing the waters with a series of covers, including powerful renditions of George Strait's ‘Troubadour’ and Zach Bryan's ‘Crooked Teeth’. The latter featured on Wesley Godwin's recent Live from the Church EP, and could well appear on his upcoming album.
