Zach Bryan may be taking a well-earned break ahead of his upcoming 2023 Burn, Burn, Burn tour, but it seems he's still finding time to put his songwriting pen to work - and we're sure not complaining.
The latest in a flurry of new song teasers is ‘Smaller Acts’, a sweet, intricate ballad written for his girlfriend.
On the new clip, Bryan pays tribute to the fact that she appreciates the little things in life.
Accompanied by a gentle acoustic guitar, Bryan sings, “Grand things don't impress her much / She is keen to smaller acts / She likes honey in her coffee / And boys who use their backs”.
The new teaser follows in the same, heartfelt vein of ‘Fear and Fridays’, another snippet Zach Bryan recently posted across his socials, and which he endearingly performed with the harmonica-holding help of his girlfriend, Deb Peifer.
Given the sheer volume of demos Zach Bryan has posted since the release of Summertime Blues in 2022, it seems the Oklahoma songsmith is still testing the waters to see which tracks he should include on his eagerly awaited 2023 record, Writers and Fighters.
Fans will be hoping ‘Smaller Acts’ makes the cut, alongside other much-loved teasers such as ‘Dallas’, ‘Marie’, ‘177 Chrystie’, ‘Tourniquet’, ‘East Side of Sorrow’, ‘Deep Satin’ and more.
