Zach Bryan and Shane Gillis seemingly spent much of the Super Bowl LIX weekend together, with the two loyal Philadelphia Eagles fans hosting a surprise pop-up show ahead of the momentous clash between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The night before the titanic Super Bowl match-up at the Caesars Superdome, the Oklahoma crooner joined forces with Gillis to deliver a last-minute set at New Orleans’ Saturn Bar.
With Zach Bryan announcing the show shortly before it took place - much in the same way to how the ‘Revival’ hitmaker unveiled his secret Austin set back in January 2024 - a crowd began forming immediately, with fans desperate to make it into the intimate venue.
During his set, which found Zach Bryan standing just a few feet away from the nearest spectators, the ‘I Remember Everything’ chart-topper reeled off an array of high-profile hits and fan-favourites, including the viral single, ‘28’, one of the many stand-outs from his lauded 2024 studio album, The Great American Bar Scene.
Zach Bryan had hinted that he might join forces with his pal Shane Gillis for a pop-up show prior to the weekend, with Bryan also revealing via Instagram he'd drop a new song, ‘Dear Miss’, if the Eagles took home the trophy on Sunday, February 9th.
He shared, “IF THE BIRDS WIN THE BOWL DEAR MISS IS OUT THE NEXT DAY SEE YALL IN NOLA SHANE GILLIS N ME MIGHT DO A POP UP N GET ROWDY SOMEWHERE LOVE U GUYS”.
During the Super Bowl LIX, Zach Bryan posted a couple of photos of him meeting President Trump, including one with the tongue-in-cheek caption, “the actual smallest man”.
This seemingly pokes fun at Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards’ diss track aimed at Zach Bryan, titled ‘Smallest Man’, which arrived in November in the wake of his contentious break-up with Portnoy's BFF's Podcast co-host, Brianna LaPaglia. LaPaglia accused Bryan of emotional abuse and trying to get her to sign a $12 million NDA.
It also appears to be a thinly veiled reference to Taylor Swift's hit 2024 song, ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’, with Swift cheering on her partner, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs. Zach Bryan has caught flak from Swifties in the past, after claiming he preferred controversial rapper Kanye West to Taylor Swift in a since-deleted 2024 post.
At the time of writing, ‘Dear Miss’ is yet to be made available to stream, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that Zach Bryan sticks to his promise and releases this long-awaited track today - once he's had a chance to properly celebrate the Eagles’ win.
