Tim McGraw has taken to social media to share a heartwarming montage of him and his wife, Faith Hill, as the two country chart-toppers celebrate 30 years of marriage.
Alongside a moving video, Tim makes it clear how much he adores Faith, “30 years, today...30 years of our marriage...That day, October 6, 1996, under an old locust tree(I think) in my Aunt’s backyard in Rayville, Louisiana, I stood there and watched my future walk towards me with the sweetest man I’ve ever known, her father Ted”.
He goes on, “In front of our closest family and friends, I was bound to the most beautiful soul. A lady that was glowing in my eyes, expanding my heart, and giving me all the love she had. I was and still am bewildered by her capacity to love, forgive, nurture and be full of joy and laughter. She is a gift to the world for sure, however, for us, we get Her, all of her. And I (and my girls) know who is ours, completely. It’s difficult to describe what she means, she is the center of gravity to my life and our girls lives and anyone who knows Audrey Faith McGraw. I love you baby”.
The Louisiana native warmly concludes, “You are my best friend. My lover. My wife. My shelter in any and every storm. And the sunrise afterwards. Many more sunrises and sunsets. Many more beautiful memories to come. I am a fortunate man”.
It's a deeply moving homage to Faith, with Tim having confirmed during a recent show that, while a lot of his more commercially minded posts on social media are managed by his team, he is the one behind the sentimental, family-oriented uploads.
He is always very proud and vocal of his daughters, for instance, with the ‘Humble and Kind’ hitmaker often sharing clips of their various performances and achievements.
It's seemingly been a testing time physically for both Tim and Faith, with both artists having undergone numerous surgeries in recent years. The latter has stepped away from the spotlight of late, while Tim continues to tour extensively and release music.
Although the primary hope is always one of health and happiness, especially after all the challenges they've faced over the years, we still - selfishly - hope that we one day get to see a second collaborative album from Tim and Faith, after The Rest Of Our Life in 2017. They remain two of the most iconic and influential artists in country music, both for their stellar careers and their touching love-story.
