“When Should I Drop?”: BigXthaPlug Teases Genre-Blending New Song with Bailey Zimmerman, ‘All The Way’

BigXthaPlug is continuing his unexpected foray into the country music world with a brand new unreleased song snippet, titled ‘All The Way’, featuring vocals from Bailey Zimmerman.

Although it's BigXthaPlug's first country-leaning song, it maintains the moody, introspective ambience that pervades much of the Texas rapper's celebrated 2024 album, TAKE CARE.

Bailey Zimmerman's signature atmospheric vibrato reverberates enchantingly across across a delicate acoustic guitar sample for the ‘All The Way’ hook, as the ‘Rock and A Hard Place’ chart-topper pleads with his old flame to ensure they can have a clean break.

Bailey Zimmerman mournfully addresses an ex-lover, “Don't let me down easy, if you're gonna leave me, baby, go and leave me all the way / Don't ask for all my things back, cussin’ out my name, yeah, just for you to take back what you say / Burn all the bridges, don't ask forgiveness, walk away like I don't want you to wait / Don't let me down easy, if you're gonna leave me, baby, go and leave me all the way”.

In the caption to the newly uploaded demo, BigXthaPlug has teased fans with the suggestion that the ‘All The Way’ release date might be on the horizon, “This for everybody who asked if she would be your Valentine...and she said no...When should I drop?”

In the comments section, Bailey Zimmerman has stressed his excitement at being involved in this infectious, country-trap anthem, sharing, “BABY GO AND LEAVE ME ALL THE WAY”.

This latest teaser arrives hot on the heels of BigXthaPlug confirming he's readying his debut country EP, with the ‘Change Me’ hitmaker revealing in a handful of recent interviews that the project is set to feature a star-studded cast including the likes of Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.

BigXthaPlug guested on one of the many stand-outs from Shaboozey's widely lauded 2024 studio album, Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going, ‘Drink Don't Need No Mix’.

Last month, BigXthaPlug dropped the deluxe version of TAKE CARE, featuring a surprise collaboration with fellow country genre-blender, Jessie Murph, the viral ‘Holy Ground’.

We expect the rap maverick to let the dust settle from that record for a few more weeks, before announcing any other tantalising details regarding his forthcoming country project.

Nonetheless, the EP's rollout certainly seems to picking up pace. Just last week, for instance, one of Nashville's premier singer-songwriters, ERNEST, shared a photo from the studio with BigXthaPlug and Post Malone. We're keeping our fingers crossed BigXthaPlug will unveil an official release date for the EP before too long.
