Sam Barber and Avery Anna have teamed up to deliver a couple of stellar performances of their viral, heartbroken hit, ‘Indigo’, on The Kelly Clarkson Show and at CRS 2025.
Both performances carry a distinct energy, with their moving, pre-recorded take on ‘Indigo’ for The Kelly Clarkson Show feeling more atmospheric and laced with gravitas, as Barber and Anna trade verses while standing in the lonely glow of the spotlight.
Meanwhile, during their evocative performance of ‘Indigo’ at Nashville's annual Country Radio Seminar, which sees industry members descending on Music City for a series of showcases, panels and more, Sam Barber and Avery Anna offered up a rawer and deeply intimate take on their collaboration in front of the packed-out audience.
Avery Anna demonstrated her striking piano playing, while Sam Barber relied on his trusty acoustic guitar, with the duo's vocals once again combining seamlessly throughout.
Appearing on Sam Barber's debut album, Restless Mind, ‘Indigo’ has since blossomed into the biggest hit of both artists’ careers so far, with the track surging to the business-end of Spotify's prestigious, all-genre Viral 50 USA ranking late last year.
Sam Barber and Avery Anna also joined forces for the title-track from that celebrated project, with the duo continuing to tease their long-awaited third collaboration in recent weeks.
It appears Sam Barber and Avery Anna have been on a series of writing camps together in 2025, and we're hoping their next link-up is on the horizon. With Anna gearing up to release the keenly anticipated lead single from her Breakup Over Breakfast follow-up tomorrow (Friday, February 21st), ‘Mr Predictable’, we suspect there might be a feature or two from Barber on the ‘vanilla’ hitmaker's forthcoming project.
Both Barber and Anna are on the line-up for C2C Berlin 2025, with the duo heading across The Pond in March for a series of performances across the UK and Europe. If we're lucky, we may get to hear a live debut of an unreleased duet during that run.
