Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Nettles are not only teaming up for Amazon Prime's supernatural series, The Bondsman, but the duo are also dropping a new collaborative album.
The country project, titled Hell and Back, features an array of original tracks penned by Bacon and Nettles, with fans able to stream the full record tomorrow (Friday, April 4th).
It follows the release of all episodes of The Bondsman today (Thursday, April 3rd), with Kevin Bacon starring as a murdered bounty hunter, who is brought back to life and given an unexpected new purpose - to track down any demons that escape Hell's fiery prison.
What makes Bacon and Nettles’ joint album particularly fascinating is the fact that the project is entirely inspired by the series, with the duo performing as their on-screen characters.
The decision to accompany The Bondsman with this country record aligns with the series’ Southern setting, with Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Nettles’ characters hailing from Georgia.
Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Nettles have musical backgrounds, with the latter remaining a revered solo artist in the genre, as well as forming half of the chart-topping duo, Sugarland, with Kristian Bush. Bacon, meanwhile, is in a band with his brother, Michael, with The Bacon Brothers set to perform at Stagecoach Festival 2025 in April.
Hell and Back features eight tracks, including ‘Our Highway’ and ‘Special Kind Of Crazy’, with Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Nettles appearing on every offering except one, ‘Woe Death’, which features Nettles alone. Given the rip-roaring, innovative premise of The Bondsman, country fans will no doubt be keen to see how Bacon and Nettles have translated the left-field theme of the show into their collaborative album.
