The Wilder Blue have released a blockbuster new duet with Luke Combs, a cover of Steve Young's ‘Seven Bridges Road’, ahead of the the band's eagerly awaited album, Super Natural.

The project is due to arrive on streaming platforms on November 21, with this star-studded duet undoubtedly heightening the sense of anticipation leading up to the band's third studio record.

Taking to their socials, The Wilder Blue shared the touching story of how they came to meet Luke Combs, with the North Carolina megastar having given the band a shout-out back in 2020.

Zane Williams, the frontman of The Wilder Blue, explained how he met with Luke Combs for a writing session a couple of years after this, but the song didn't end up getting cut.

Then, six months later, while recording their new album with Brent Cobb, Cobb suggested they get in touch with Luke to see if he'd be down for a collaboration.

Zane outlined, “Brent suggests that we reach out to Luke and see if he’d be interested in being involved creatively somehow with this record. Turns out Luke was into it! He said he’d love to sing on a track with us. We recorded ‘Seven Bridges Road’ that week, and felt like it would be an epic song for Luke to do with us”.

The band have included their own version of ‘Seven Bridges Road’ on the upcoming album, Super Natural, with the Luke Combs duet having been released today as a separate single.

The Wilder Blue will join up with Luke Combs for 12 stadium dates as part of his 2024 Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old tour, alongside Hailey Whitters, Charles Wesley Godwin and Cody Jinks.
