The War and Treaty will renew their affinity with the UK this summer, with a hotly anticipated 2023 headlining tour.
The UK and Ireland run of shows will commence with the husband-and-wife duo's appearance at The Long Road Festival in Leicestershire, before The War and Treaty take their celebrated arsenal of warm, retro-inspired ballads and eclectic, genre-blending hits further afield. Shortly before this, The War and Treaty will perform at Switzerland's Blues To Bop Festival.
The War and Treaty's eagerly awaited set at The Long Road Festival will take place on August 27, with the ‘Take Me In’ singer-songwriters then due to perform across Dublin, Glasgow and London.
The announcement of this international summer series of dates follows hot on the heels of The War and Treaty's show-stopping performance of ‘Blank Page’ at the 2023 ACM Awards.
The duo, comprising Tanya Trotter and Michael Trotter Jr., travelled to Frisco, Texas for the star-studded ceremony with a 2023 Duo of the Year nomination under their belt.
The War and Treaty's burgeoning UK fanbase will be keenly looking forward to getting the chance to hear a range of highlights from their critically acclaimed new album, Lover's Game, such as ‘Ain't No Harmin’ Me’ and ‘That's How Love Is Made’.
Speaking ahead of the tour announcement, The War and Treaty underlined their excitement at the prospect of a return across The Atlantic, following a stellar appearance at Glastonbury Festival in 2022.
They stressed, “Our time last year in the UK was so surreal. The energy the crowd gave us was so mind blowing. We are amped up to come back. Actually, we couldn’t get back soon enough!”
