During their recent performance at The American Rodeo in Arlington, Texas, Riley Green switched up the lyrics to ‘You Look Like You Love Me’ to describe his duet partner, Ella Langley.
Normally, Green would sing the line, “And boy let me tell you, she was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen in a pair of boots.” But this time, fuelled by the good Texas air, he sang, “And boy let me tell you, she was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen with bangs and boots.” Referencing Langley’s iconic hairstyle, it was quick but the crowd caught on.
As relationship rumours have subsided for Green and Langley (Grangley? Leen? We’ll keep working on it), this video has again opened the floodgates for the will-they-won’t-they trope.
You’d think fans would be over the speculation by now, what with the tumultuous journey they’ve been on since the song’s release. First it was Langley and Green, then it was Megan Moroney and Green, then Langley unfollowed Moroney (BIG news), then there was no stage chemistry between Langley and Green, then they had a cute platonic relationship and now, it seems, it’s back on for fans.
“The chemistry is there,” one fan commented on the video with another saying, “There’s our confirmation right there.”
The jury is still out on the pair’s relationship, but with the fun clips they’re sharing from this tour, it seems like they’re at least very good friends – and we’re OK with that.
Riley Green's Damn Country Music Tour continues right the way through until the end of August, and we’re holding out hope for more of these endearing moments between the two.
