Morgan Wallen's 2026 Still the Problem Tour is underway, and the ‘Love Somebody’ hitmaker has introduced a striking new stage design for his blockbuster run of shows.
Aside from the innovative, airplane-shaped catwalk, which the Sneedville native first teased back in November 2025 when tickets went on-sale, there's a clever detail on the big screen that fans have spotted during his performance of ‘I Wrote The Book’.
The One Thing At A Time stand-out finds Wallen reflecting on how he sees himself as a jack-of-all-trades in almost every aspect of life, except for his spirituality. He jokes about how he “wrote the book” when it comes to fishing and hunting, for instance, before underlining that there's one book he definitely didn't write - the Bible.
The stage design on his Still the Problem Tour cleverly reflects the spirit of ‘I Wrote The Book’, with a few eagle-eyed attendees noticing that, while Wallen is performing this electric, soul-searching anthem, the Ten Commandments appear on the JumboTron.
While Wallen is serenading us, you can see commandments such as “You shall have no other gods before me” and “You shall not make for yourselves any idol” flashing up.
The scroll-inspired font of the text on the screen and the dramatic red backdrop adds to the drama of the moment, accentuating the gravitas of Wallen's performance.
As ‘I Wrote The Book’ approaches its crescendo, Wallen ponders how, despite having cultivated a lot of skills in his life so far, he needs to dedicate more time to reading Scripture, “Yeah the good Lord knows I need it / I didn't write it but I probably oughta read it”.
Faith has always played a pivotal role in Wallen's own life, with the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter often discussing how his Christian beliefs have helped to ground him while going through particularly tumultuous periods of his life and career.
For example, when discussing the origin of his 2025 Post Malone collaboration, ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’, which finds the duo using Jesus’ resurrection as a bittersweet relationship metaphor, Wallen mused, “I love this song too, I love what it says, there's a lot of cool imagery, and you know, me as a Christian, I think any time that I can throw a little hint of that in my music, I'm always all for it. It's a good one”.
Similarly, Wallen references his religious upbringing - with his father, Tommy, a Baptist pastor - on much-loved tracks like ‘Dying Man’, ‘Outlook’, ‘The Dealer’ and ‘Don't Think Jesus’.
With an increasing array of Contemporary Christian Music and Country crossovers emerging in recent years, led by artists such as Brandon Lake, Forrest Frank, Anne Wilson and Chris Tomlin, we're curious to see whether Wallen decides to explore a more whole-hearted pivot towards the CCM space in the coming years.
Given how seamlessly and powerfully CCM and Country blend, we wouldn't be surprised if the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper one day releases a full-blown Gospel album, in the mould of Carrie Underwood's My Savior and Johnny Cash's Hymns from the Heart.
