As he continues to celebrate his beloved Philadelphia Eagles’ surprise win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX, Zach Bryan has shared a self-deprecating new photo of him with President Donald Trump and Bryan's good buddy, Shane Gillis.
All three were attending the Super Bowl in New Orleans, during which the Eagles stormed to a convincing 40 - 22 victory over last year's champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The ‘Something in the Orange’ singer-songwriter had been sharing photos and clips from the Super Bowl throughout the evening, with Zach Bryan even delivering a surprise pop-up show on Saturday evening alongside fellow Eagles fan, Shane Gillis.
In a since-deleted Instagram Story posted by Zach Bryan this morning (February 10th), the Oklahoma native poses for a photo alongside President Trump and Gillis, with Bryan captioning the image with the amusing, “the actual smallest man”.
As well as being a light-hearted nod to him being shorter than both Trump and Gillis, this is also seemingly a reference to Taylor Swift's 2024 hit, ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’.
This is a particularly interesting choice of words from Zach Bryan, given the fact that ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ was the song that Brianna LaPaglia depicted as being an apt description of Bryan, following their contentious split last year.
After Brianna LaPaglia accused Zach Bryan of emotional abuse and attempting to get her to sign a $12 million NDA about their relationship, LaPaglia's BFF's Podcast co-hosts, Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, released a diss track titled, ‘Smallest Man’.
Taylor Swift was in attendance at the Super Bowl, cheering on her boyfriend, the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce. Zach Bryan was forced to share an apology back in September after facing backlash for tweeting, “eagles > chiefs...kanye > taylor...who's with me?”
As a result, depending on how much you want to read into it, this seemingly simple caption, “the actual smallest man”, could take on a dizzying plethora of deeper, thinly veiled meanings.
It must be stressed that, although the phrasing definitely feels pointed, it at least appears Zach Bryan was just intending to poke fun at himself for being the shortest of the three.
Earlier this morning, Bryan shared another photo of himself looking bemused at meeting President Trump while Gillis shakes his hand, with the caption, “I'm so fucking confused”.
Zach Bryan promised fans that, if the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, he'd released the long-teased track, ‘Dear Miss’, today. At the time of writing, the song is yet to appear on streaming platforms. In January, Bryan made a similar commitment to release ‘Blue Jean Baby’ if the Eagles triumphed over the Washington Commanders - which they did, with ‘Blue Jean Baby’ arriving the following morning.
