Luke Combs brought out a couple of special guests during his live-wire second night at California's Levi's Stadium, with the North Carolina hitmaker being joined by San Fransciso 49ers players George Kittle and Brock Purdy to shot-gun some on-stage beers.
As was to perhaps be expected - given his role as quarterback - Purdy served as the provider, hurling Bud Light cans towards his buddy, Kittle, as the latter proceeded to drench himself in beer, before asking Purdy to keep throwing them his way.
George Kittle embodied the mood of the raucous, rowdy anthem Luke Combs performed as they celebrated, ‘1, 2 Many’, with Kittle shot-gunning one Bud Light alongside Luke.
As Luke Combs then continued with his performance, the 49ers tight-end gestured to Purdy that he wasn't anywhere near done, with Kittle downing another Bud Light before emulating Steve Austin and smashing two cans together above his face.
The alcohol-soaked spectacle was lapped up by fans in attendance, and extends the 2024 trend of athletes and sports personalities completing country side quests, with the likes of Eli Manning, Tyrese Haliburton, DeAndre Hopkins, Pat McAfee and more joining Morgan Wallen for recent One Night At A Time pre-show walk-outs.
Elsewhere during his weekend of shows in Santa Clara, California, Luke Combs delivered a spine-tingling rendition of his unreleased fan-favourite, ‘The Man He Sees in Me’, in addition to a stirring cover of Garth Brooks’ ‘Ain't Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up)’.
