After waiting over three years, the trailer and premiere date for Season 4 of Ted Lasso has finally dropped. ‘Rubber Band Man’ by Mumford & Sons and Hozier soundtracks the trailer, which hints at the drama to come in the new instalment of the Apple TV show.
‘Rubber Band Man’ plays gently in the background as we see shots of Ted getting ready for his new assignment of coaching the Richmond Women's team. The delicate, gentle ambience of the track mirrors the spirit that underpins the much-loved TV series, where optimism and kindness are championed throughout.
Ted Lasso Season 4 is set to premiere on August 5th, 2026 on Apple TV, and will once again star Jason Sudeikis as Ted, alongside Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay and more.
Without giving away too many spoilers, in case you're planning to watch the series for the first time in anticipation of the new season, Ted Lasso broadly follows an American Football coach who - bizarrely - gets hired to manage a Premiere League team.
What ensures is a rollercoaster ride filled with heartbreak, euphoria and - above all - heart, with Ted's trademark sense of positivity lighting up the Emmy-winning series.
‘Rubber Band Man’, meanwhile, features on Mumford & Sons’ beautifully evocative and vibrant new album, Prizefighter. The stunning, folk-leaning project also includes stand-outs such as ‘Badlands’ with Gracie Abrams, ‘Alleycat’ and ‘Clover’.
