During the star-studded 23rd Americana Honors and Awards at Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium, Sierra Ferrell took home the coveted accolades for Artist and Album of the Year.

The ‘Fox Hunt’ singer-songwriter received the latter in recognition of her widely lauded 2024 project, Trail Of Flowers, which was produced by Eddie Spear and Gary Paczosa.

In addition to securing Album of the Year, Sierra Ferrell was crowned Artist of the Year following a stellar twelve months, which saw the West Virginia crooner dropping her sophomore record and contributing to one of the biggest releases of 2024, with Ferrell joining forces with Post Malone for his F-1Trillion stand-out, ‘Never Love You Again’.

As always, the 2024 Americana Honors and Awards ceremony was pervaded by a warm sense of familiarity and friendship, with it feeling more like a toast to an incredible year for the genre as a whole, rather than there being any competitiveness between artists.

The Red Clay Strays scored the award for Emerging Artist of the Year, with the country-rock band continuing to establish themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in the space.

Grace Bowers triumphed in the Instrumentalist of the Year category, while Larkin Poe were awarded the Duo/Group of the Year gong. Song of the Year went to Brandy Clark's ‘Dear Insecurity’, which was penned by Clark alongside Brandi Carlile.

In addition, attendees at the Ryman Auditorium ceremony were treated to an array of spectacular performances. One of the undoubted highlights was Noah Kahan's electrifying rendition of ‘Dial Drunk’, which over the past couple of years has helped propel the Vermont native firmly into the upper echelon of the music world.

Those in the audience were also able to witness a moving tribute to the late Dickey Betts from his son, Duane Betts, who performed The Allman Brothers Band's ‘Blue Sky’.

The Milk Carton Kids delivered a rousing rendition of ‘Where You're Gone’, which was dedicated to sound engineer, Mark Richards. Keeping the momentum high throughout the night were eye-catching performances from Dwight Yoakam, The War and Treaty, Turnpike Troubadours, Kaitlin Butts, Sierra Ferrell, Wyatt Flores, Charles Wesley Godwin, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell and many more.

The house band was once again led by Buddy Miller, and featured Don Was, The McCrary Sisters, Bryan Owings, Jerry Pentecost, Jen Gunderman, Jim Hoke and Larry Campbell.
