Sierra Ferrell performed her much-loved track, ‘In Dreams’, during her recent appearance on The Cavern Sessions.
Taking place in the atmospheric setting of a cave in Grundy County, Tennessee, Sierra Ferrell's ethereal, enchanting performance intensified the otherworldly ambience of the surroundings.
‘In Dreams’ originally appeared on Ferrell's widely acclaimed 2021 album, Long Time Coming, which has also spawned fan-favourites such as ‘Silver Dollar’, ‘Jeremiah’ and ‘The Sea’.
Listeners are eagerly awaiting news on the fast-emerging artist's Long Time Coming follow-up, with Ferrell recently teasing a handful of unreleased songs, such as ‘Fox Hunt’ and ‘Making My Way’.
Fans are hoping both make their way onto Sierra Ferrell's upcoming album, and her Caverns Sessions performance will have exacerbated the keenness with which they're anticipating the new record.
Accompanied by her three backing musicians, Ferrell sinuous vocals snaked their way across the lively, fiddle-driven instrumental, with the crowd visibly enthused throughout her set.
Following her performance in the scenic Grundy County cavern, the ‘West Virginia Waltz’ songsmith is now gearing up for a high-profile performance at another picturesque venue. Sierra Ferrell will take the stage at Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 16, in support of Greensky Bluegrass.
