In a new interview with Holler, Luke Bryan has payed homage to his 2024 CMA Awards co-host, Lainey Wilson, with the Georgia native toasting how Wilson approached her first year in the role alongside Bryan and Peyton Manning at the November ceremony.
Luke Bryan, who was speaking to Holler in the lead-up to his performance at the 2025 HGV Tournament of Champions at Boxi Park in Orlando, Florida on February 1st, has offered some touching words of admiration when discussing his experience of taking the helm for the star-studded 2024 CMA Awards alongside Lainey Wilson.
Bryan gushed, “Lainey was great fun this year, and Peyton and I had a good time working with her”. Endearingly, this isn't surprising, because the trio drew plaudits following the ceremony for the playfulness and levity they brought to the Bridgestone Arena stage.
Luke Bryan went on, “She is talented, energetic and so much fun”. Lainey Wilson has built a well-deserved reputation in the country music world for the enthusiasm and drive with which the ‘Heart Like a Truck’ crooner tackles any new challenge, whether it's recording an album, starting a tour or hosting the 2024 CMA Awards.
Luke Bryan concluded by underlining that Lainey Wilson “deserves all the praise and accolades coming her way!” Given how competitive it is at the top of the country music ladder, the ‘One Margarita’ hitmaker's sentiments are particularly heartwarming.
After their celebrated performance as 2024 CMA Awards co-hosts, fans will be hoping that Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson and Peyton Manning join forces again for the 2025 ceremony.
Elsewhere during Luke Bryan's conversation with Holler, the ‘Country On’ chart-topper expressed his excitement for his forthcoming set at the 2025 HGV Tournament of Champions in Florida, which serves as the official kick-off for the LPGA tour season. As part of the golfing extravaganza, which will also feature performances from Flo Rida and Chicago, recent LPGA victors will team up with celebrities such as Chris Lane and Don Cheadle as they attempt to take home the $2 million prize .
