During a new conversation with Holler, ‘Buckle Bunny’ hitmaker Tanner Adell has paid homage to one of her biggest inspirations in the modern country scene, Lainey Wilson.
As part of the touching tribute, the ‘Silverado’ singer-songwriter has outlined how she has become good buddies with Lainey Wilson, with Tanner Adell able to call on Wilson for advice.
Ahead of her spellbinding main-stage performance at C2C Festival 2025 in London, when asked which artist she'd most like to work with in country music, Tanner Adell explained to Holler, “Well, you know, Lainey Wilson is...I'm not saying we're best friends, but she is someone that I look up to a lot in country music, and I can text her and I can call her when I'm frustrated, or feeling like, ‘What do I do?’”
The fast-emerging artist went on to stress that she'd love to hit the studio with the 2024 ACM Entertainer of the Year, ”She's somebody that I would love to do something with”.
Following a stellar 2024, during which she released the addictive Twisters: The Album soundtrack highlight, ‘Too Easy’, and a smattering of much-loved singles, such as ‘Silverado’ and ‘Religion’, it seems there's plenty on the horizon for Tanner Adell.
Just this weekend, the Kentucky crooner shared a heartbreaking, deeply vulnerable new song, ‘Going Blonde’, which finds Tanner Adell movingly reflecting on the decision to dye her hair the colour of her birth mother, who she's never met.
It's an example of the visceral lyricism and emotional weight Tanner Adell is able to lace into her music, and if ‘Going Blonde’ is an indication of what's to come from Adell, it's safe to say 2025 could be a blockbuster year for the country prodigy.
