This year has seen Shaboozey dominate the charts, conquer massive festivals like Outside Lands and Stagecoach, and soon, he will go toe-to-toe with fellow stars at the Grammys.
But before then, the 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' sensation will take on the Saturday Night Live spotlight.
It was just announced that the artist will perform on NBC's long-running sketch comedy show on Dec. 7, alongside the night's chosen host, actor Paul Mescal.
What he will perform is not yet known but his latest single, 'Good News', could be in the running for the late night showcase. His viral 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)', which just became the longest reigning solo No. 1 in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, is another promising option.
This year alone, a number of country stars have graced the SNL stage including Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and Jelly Roll. Even pop sensation Chappell Roan showed off a little twang when she debuted her country-tinged 'The Giver' during her SNL appearance earlier this month.
The news of Shaboozey's impending performance on the show arrives not long after the star amassed a number of Grammy nominations. 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' is up for four awards – Song of the Year, Best Country Song, Best Country Solo Performance, as well as Best Remixed Recording for the recent David Guetta remix – and Shaboozey is in the running for Best New Artist.
