Sara Watkins has announced a new album, Under the Pepper Tree, due out March 26 via New West Records.

Today, she shared the music video for her rendition of the whimsical Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory song, 'Pure Imagination.'

The children’s album pairs two original songs with family-friendly covers of the Beatles, Roy Orbison, Harry Nilsson and more.

Watkins chose songs she often heard in childhood and which influenced her musical taste. “I want this album to be a place of calm, imagination, and relief,” she has stated about the record.

Nickel Creek bandmates Chris Thile and Sean Watkins join Watkins on “Blue Shadows on the Trail,” a song from the 1980s comedy Three Amigos, while I’m With Her bandmates Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan feature on the classic country tune “Tumbling Tumbleweeds.”

Elsewhere, Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith appears on Harry Nilsson’s “Blanket for All.” See the full tracklist below.

Watkins’ last album, her solo debut Young in All the Wrong Ways, was released in 2016.
