Sam Hunt's slow-burning anthem, ‘Outskirts’, has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on this week's UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, dated May 3-9, replacing Ashley Cooke's ‘your place’.
Although ‘Outskirts’ is yet to be attributed to an album, with Sam Hunt still readying his long-awaited Southside follow-up, the single has exploded in popularity in recent months, with the wistful track also reaching No. 1 at US Country Radio in April.
Fans’ calls for a new record from Sam Hunt remain deafening, and they'll undoubtedly be hoping the Diamond-certified Georgia singer-songwriter builds on the momentum from this transatlantic No. 1 by unveiling his third full-length studio album soon.
On the latest UK Country Radio Airplay Chart frame, ‘Outskirts’ earned a total of 696,259 impressions across four stations, marking a sizeable 12% increase from last week. Sam Hunt's brooding single previously hit No. 1 in the UK on April 28th.
At No. 2 this week is Chris Young's ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights’, which picked up 665,878 impressions during this tracking period, with the celebratory song being tailed by last week's chart-topper, ‘your place’, which has to settle at No. 3.
Completing the Top Five is Nate Smith's ‘Bulletproof’ at No. 4 and Dasha's ‘Austin’, at No. 5, with the latter continuing to light up Spotify and Apple Music's viral charts.
The biggest riser this week is Luke Bryan's subtly infectious ‘Love You, Miss You, Mean It’, which tallied 192,233 impressions, representing a staggering 1057% boost.
