Reba McEntire has been announced as the new ‘Mega Mentor’ on The Voice USA.

After the initial rounds of auditions have been completed, the country icon will help contestants to hone their performances ahead of the Knockouts, which are set to kick off on April 17.

It marks a fitting return to the show for the ‘Fancy’ hitmaker, who joined Team Blake in the very first season of The Voice USA as a Battle Advisor.

Now, Reba is helping once again in Blake's final series.

The 23rd season of the hugely popular TV singing competition premieres on March 6, and will feature a star-studded new line-up of judges that includes Chance the Rapper, Niall Horan and Kelly Clarkson.

The Voice USA has a strong record when it comes to unearthing country music talent, with the winner of last season's competition being Team Blake member, Bryce Leatherwood.

The country crooner wowed the coaches and the voters alike, and added to Blake Shelton's impressive roster of The Voice USA winners.

Given the fact that Reba McEntire has 35 No. 1 singles, three Grammys and a host of other prized accolades under her belt, it's safe to say the Oklahoma country star will have plenty of valuable advice to offer this season's contestants.

Reba McEntire's latest foray into TV follows her recent appearance in Season 3 of Big Sky: Deadly Trails.

In early January, Reba also starred in Lifetime's dramatic judicial film, ‘The Hammer’.
