While you might be on the fence about Post Malone's place in country music, it seems the star has found his: right in the middle of the legendary circle on the Grand Ole Opry House stage.

On Wednesday night (Aug. 14), the hip-hop artist-turned-country newcomer made his debut at the legendary country music venue just ahead of the release of his first-ever contribution to the genre, F-1Trillion, which is set to drop on Friday (Aug. 16).

Naughties country mainstay Brad Paisley, the member who invited Malone to perform at the Opry in the first place, was the one to welcome him to the stage that night. Having worked with Posty on F-1Trillion as a collaborator over the last few months, Paisley had nothing but good things to say about the star as he made his entrance.

Under the spotlight, donning a cream cowboy hat and a powder blue and denim ensemble – he explained he was "going for a K-Mart George Strait" in appearance – Malone admitted to being both "terrified and honored."

It showed. While he did seem a little flustered at the beginning, he also came off as grateful and humbled by the opportunity.

To begin his debut set under the roof of the coveted locale, Malone brought out the legendary Vince Gill for a performance of Gill's 'One More Last Chance,' which was followed up with another duet when John Michael Montgomery was called onto the stage. Together, they performed a raucous rendition of Montgomery's '90s classic, 'Be My Baby Tonight.'

Then, it was time for a taste of F-1Trillion, an album that features an impressive roster of stars (some of them are Opry members themselves).

Lainey Wilson, who contributes to the impending album's 'Nosedive' was called up for an intimate and familiar first performance of the song. The pair joked and jabbed from the jump, but in the end, pulled together a showcase that was wonderfully endearing.

"Welcome to country music, Post Malone," Wilson said before exiting the stage after the performance. "We're glad to have you."

Paisley then joined in for another F-1Trillion offering, providing his skills to their soon-to-be unveiled duet, 'Goes Without Saying.' While Chris Stapleton couldn't be there to show off his own contribution to Malone's forthcoming release, country's power couple The War and Treaty were subbed in, giving a goosebump-inducing display of 'California Sober' alongside the man of the hour. The three of them closed the tune just as the crowd began to chant, "Posty! Posty! Posty!"

Then, the artist was left to close out the special night solo, taking a swing at his highly successful Morgan Wallen collaboration, 'I Had Some Help'. Soon after, he closed out the momentous night, pulling from his pre-country catalogue and giving a twanged-up performance of his Swae Lee-assisted dream-pop opus, 'Sunflower.'

Back in late July, Paisley invited the artist to make his debut on the coveted stage via a heartfelt video message.

“Hey Post, Brad here," the 'Whiskey Lullaby' star addressed Malone in the footage. "So what I'm about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you and knowing the respect that you have for country music and this journey you're embarking on now as a hillbilly singer, which is gonna be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music and, I think, you.”

Then Paisley asked the gnawing question, “Would you like to play the Opry?," hinting that it would be the first of many appearances from the country newcomer on the illustrious stage. "Come experience what it's like to play the show that started it all, and you and I can jam together, and a lot of your friends will be there. We're gonna have a blast”.

And it seems they did.
