When Post Malone released his eagerly anticipated debut country album, F-1Trillion, in August, the country world responded with what felt like a virtually unanimous chorus of support.
Now, that chorus has grown a few decibels louder, with Posty earning his first ever CMA Awards nominations ahead of the 2024 ceremony in Nashville on November 20th.
Although F-1Trillion as a whole was not eligible for 2024 CMA Awards nominations, due to the voting period closing on June 30th, the project's lead single, ‘I Had Some Help’ with Morgan Wallen, arrived in May and therefore fell into the window.
‘I Had Some Help’ was recently unveiled as Billboard's official 2024 Song of the Summer, with the uptempo earworm spending a whopping six nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Despite only ‘I Had Some Help’ and ‘Pour Me a Drink’ being eligible for nominations, Posty has still managed to secure four nods in recognition of the former's success.
Post Malone and Morgan Wallen's blockbuster collaboration is a 2024 CMA Awards contender for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Music Video of the Year. Morgan Wallen has picked up more nominations than any other artist, with the ’Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter scoring a whopping seven nods.
The 2024 CMA Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, with the ceremony being broadcast live from 8pm - 11pm EST on ABC, with a repeat being available to watch the following day via Hulu.
