Post Malone has joined Theo Von's This Past Weekend podcast to discuss his debut country album, F-1Trillion, his Grand Ole Opry debut and the birth of his daughter, DDP.
Towards the start of the discussion, after joking about a variety of topics, such as wrestling and Jelly Roll's penchant for inspirational speeches, Post Malone delved into the motivation he felt when starting out in his career. He spoke candidly about how he felt left out socially, sharing that he got stood up at homecoming, before touching on how this only added to his determination to become successful.
“She's a stud, she was there [at the Opry]...she's probably two feet tall. She's so cool man. It changes everything, it's so bitching...They let me bring my katana in...”
“It would be cool to prank the shit out of your kid, wear full camo...she can't see you”.
“I've always wanted to be a dad, and for a long time, I always told myself when I was younger and going through shit, when I was coming up...I was like I need a kid, that was for selfish reasons, to feel something that I felt like I was missing. But at one point, I was like I wanna create a fucking awesome life and create life, and whenever I realised that it wasn't for a selfish reason, then I was like let's fucking do it...It's so cool, I pulled her right out...I got gloved up...my doctor was such a baller...At one time, she looked at me, and she goes ‘Scrub up’. And I did, and I grabbed her head and pulled her out”.
