Post Malone added an extra sheen of lustre to his spectacular Hard Rock Stadium show in Miami, Florida last night, with the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker surprising his packed-out crowd with a special duet of ‘Sunflower’ with his good friend, Swae Lee.

The infectious collaboration remains one of the most popular songs of the modern era, and in 2024 ‘Sunflower’ became the first single in history to be certified Double-Diamond by the RIAA, in recognition of it selling the equivalent of 20 million units.

As the crowd waited with bated breath, Post Malone teased his forthcoming guest, “I made this next song with one of the most talented vocalists I've ever had the honour of singing with. One of the most talented writers I've ever had the honour of writing with. And I know for a fact that there's nothing that he and I would love to do more, than dedicate this next song to all y'all crazy motherfuckers”.

Then, with the signature ‘Sunflower’ introduction ringing out across the stadium speakers, Swae Lee bounded from the side of the stage, before presenting Post Malone with a fresh red solo cup and sharing a warm embrace with his duet partner.

The duo have been pals for a while now, with Swae Lee guesting on one of the standout's from Post Malone's sophomore album, beerbongs & bentleys, ‘Spoil My Night’, in April 2018.

The energy that permeated their jubilant, celebratory performance at the Hard Rock Stadium fizzled infectiously into the audience, with around 60,000 fans singing gleefully along. ‘Sunflower’ originally dropped as part of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film soundtrack in October 2018, before being repackaged as part of Posty's lauded, introspective 2019 studio album, Hollywood's Bleeding.

Elsewhere during Post Malone's sprawling set in Florida, the bearded crooner again linked up with his opener, Jelly Roll, for a galvanising rendition of ‘Losers’, from 2024's F-1Trillion.

Jelly has teased a follow-up collaboration in recent weeks, and we're keeping our fingers tightly crossed this materialises ahead of the European leg of their Big Ass Stadium tour.
