Noah Kahan has taken to his socials to tease a revamped version of ‘Northern Attitude’ with Hozier.
Fans have been speculating that a collaboration might be in the works for a number of weeks now, with the two folk-leaning artists having teamed up on stage twice in recent months.
During the latter of these link-ups, which arrived during Noah Kahan's packed-out Nashville show in early October, the two delivered a powerful rendition of Noah's 2022 fan-favourite, ‘Northern Attitude’.
With Noah having spent much of 2023 releasing duet versions of stand-outs from his acclaimed Stick Season album, following his Nashville performance, fans immediately began calling for a studio rendition of ‘Northern Attitude’ with Hozier.
It appears Noah Kahan is giving his listeners exactly what they want, with the ‘She Calls Me Back’ songsmith sharing a video of him reacting to a collage of Tweets asking for a Hozier collaboration. The clip is soundtracked by ‘Northern Attitude’, which serves as a not-so-subtle hint that this will be the song he and Hozier are releasing together.
Although it's not yet been confirmed when this long-awaited duet will be released, it could well be as early as this Friday, November 3. It'll mark the latest in a long, star-studded line of collaborations from Noah Kahan, with the Vermont native having dropped duets with Post Malone (‘Dial Drunk’), Lizzy McAlpine (‘Call Your Mom’) and Kacey Musgraves (‘She Calls Me Back’) since the start of the summer.
With Noah Kahan and Hozier having recently been unveiled as the headliners for High Water Festival in April 2024, this could provide the perfect opportunity for the two artists to perform a live debut of this new, updated version of ‘Northern Attitude’.
