Perhaps a little full and just as reflective following the Thanksgiving festivities, Noah Kahan has begun to tease new music.
Taking to social media on Friday (Nov. 29), the 'Stick Season' star shared a snippet of a shattering new tune alongside a slideshow of wintery images. The unreleased offering, marked by frantic strums and racing acoustics, seems to speak to feelings of detachment and despondency, another emotive number for Kahan's already weighty catalogue.
"Have you ever stared directly at the sun?," the artist belts in the recording. "Have you ever shared some closeness so exposed to have it spit back by someone? / So forgive me if I jump / At the rattle of your keys 'Oh, are you leaving?' / 'No babe, I’m just waking up' / And now what? / I'm staring at the ceiling listing reasons you should pack all your shit up."
Some of the above lyrics appeared without context in a post on the star's Twitter this past October. When he will officially release the song is not yet known.
The snippet arrives not long after the arrival of the artist's Live From Fenway Park collection and joins other recently teased tunes, one appearing to be titled ‘Pain Eater’, as well as the long-awaited 'Pain is Cold Water'.
Kahan has been sharing a lot of unreleased music lately as he potentially gears up for the highly anticipated follow-up to his Stick Season (Forever) deluxe project.
