Noah Kahan kicked off his history-making four-night run at Boston's Fenway Park with a fantastic show, featuring cameos from Gigi Perez and New England Patriots player, Drake Maye.

Kahan has introduced a playful new skit into his set, where he gets a call on a mock payphone positioned in front of the stage, which in turn serves as the intro for ‘She Calls Me Back’.

This time around, when he picked up, NFL star Maye popped up on the big screen to check in and wish Kahan the best for his show. Then, Perez joined the ‘Northern Attitude’ hitmaker on-stage for a spellbinding rendition of ‘She Calls Me Back’, which remains one of our favourite earworms from Kahan's beloved Stick Season era.

The rain was torrential throughout the evening, and while that might've marred another artist's set, for Kahan, the dark, stormy weather only accentuated the gravitas of the show. Kahan joked in the lead-up to releasing his new album, The Great Divide, that the project was intended to be listened to while staring out of the window looking at the rain - so it felt apt that his Fenway Park opener was met with a downpour.

Elsewhere during the brilliant set, Kahan serenaded fans with new tracks from The Great Divide, such as the haunting ‘Porch Light’, the immensely viral ‘Orbiter’ and the crash-out anthem, ‘Staying Still’. The packed-out crowd also got to witness a rare performance of ‘Paul Revere’ a gem that doesn't always make it into his setlist.

This week, Kahan becomes the first artist to sell out four shows at the home of the Boston Red Sox, with the ‘We Go Way Back’ crooner making his keenly awaited return, following his now-mythologised double-header at Fenway Park back in July 2024.

Kahan returns to the Fenway Park stage this evening (Wednesday, July 8th), and fans will be pleased to know it's meant to be considerably sunnier. With three more shows lined up at the iconic venue - one that holds a special place in Kahan's heart, with the Vermont native growing up in nearby Strafford - we can't wait to see what special guests and surprise performances the folk titan has up his sleeve.
