It looks like Niall Horan is just as big a Zach Bryan fan as the rest of us, with the former One Direction member and current The Voice USA judge sharing a new cover of Zach's ‘Something in the Orange’.
Niall's evocative, intricate rendition perfectly captures the sense of uncertainty and longing that Zach Bryan laces into his hugely popular original, with the Irish singer-songwriter releasing the cover as part of his deluxe The Show: The Encore record.
Niall Horan has performed ‘Something in the Orange’ a number of times in the past, with the ‘Slow Hands’ hitmaker delivering a stellar version during his SiriusXM session this summer.
The rendition that's been included on Niall's celebrated The Show: The Encore project, which has already spawned fan-favourites such as the Lizzy McAlpine-assisted ‘You Could Start A Cult’, was recorded during the pop megastar's recent Spotify Session.
Zach Bryan dropped ‘Something in the Orange’ ahead of his widely acclaimed 2022 album, American Heartbreak, with the ethereal, wistful ballad having now firmly established itself as one of the Oklahoma native's most recognisable songs to date.
With Zach Bryan having a penchant for genre-blurring covers himself, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed the ‘Deep Satin’ songsmith decides to take on a Niall Horan song in the near future.
