Morgan Wallen has scored his third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his breezy, Latin-inspired new single, ’Love Somebody’, dethroning Shaboozey's ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’.

‘Love Somebody’ has seemingly arrived just in time, as Morgan Wallen has halted Shaboozey's momentous run atop the chart, with Shaboozey's notching 15 weeks in pole position.

Crucially, one more week would've tied the record set by Morgan's 2023 smash, ‘Last Night’, which tallied 16 weeks and remains the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 of the 2020s. Of course, the possibility remains for ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ to bounce back in the coming weeks and score that elusive extra week, which would put Shaboozey on a par with Morgan Wallen's game-changing 2023 run.

In the lead-up to the official Billboard chart unveiling, the stats were indicating it was going to be a closely fought battle between ‘Love Somebody’ and ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’. The Hot 100 collates data from US streaming figures, including official audio and video numbers, which means Morgan Wallen's new ‘Live From Neyland’ YouTube version of ‘Love Somebody’ will have added a welcome boost to his overall tally.

During the latest tracking period, dated from Friday, October 18 to Thursday, October 24, ‘Love Somebody’ accumulated a staggering 31.1 million official streams, alongside 15.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and 17,000 sales in the US.

Morgan Wallen's ‘Love Somebody’ also debuts atop the Hot Country Songs chart, marking the third time the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter has released a song that simultaneously leads the Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs rankings.

In achieving this feat, Morgan overtakes Glen Campbell, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Taylor Swift. Each of these artists has amassed two concurrent No. 1s.

It extends an impressive run of chart successes from Morgan Wallen, who has been firmly establishing himself as one of the most dominant artists on the all-genre rankings in recent years, while still retaining his status as a prolific chart-topper within country music.

In addition to landing him his third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, following ‘Last Night’ and ’I Had Some Help’ with Post Malone, and his ninth No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs listings, ‘Love Somebody’ has surged straight to No. 1 on the US Billboard Streaming Songs and US Billboard Digital Song Sales charts too. In addition, ‘Love Somebody’ has debuted at on the UK Country Airplay Chart, serving as the first time a track has entered at No. 1 since the chart's inception earlier this year.

‘Love Somebody’, which explores a new, tropically-minded sound, is expected to feature on Morgan Wallen's highly anticipated One Thing At A Time follow-up album, alongside the previously released fan-favourite, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, as well as long-teased tracks such as ‘I Guess’, ‘Come Back as a Redneck’ and ‘Good to See You Smile’.
