Morgan Wallen will release two brand new songs tonight (Thursday, March 19th), the previously teased ‘Just in Case’ and ’I'm a Little Crazy’, with both tracks set to appear on the Sneedville megastar's highly anticipated fourth studio album, I'm the Problem. Wallen has also confirmed the album's release date as May 16th, which doubles-up as the first day of his inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival 2025.
‘Just in Case’ and ’I'm a Little Crazy’ were made available to stream in New Zealand this morning, when it had gone midnight Down Under. Those of us in the UK and US were then weighing up whether it would be faster to wait until 12am, or hop on a flight to New Zealand to hear the new Morgan Wallen gems as early as possible...
Wallen has since announced the album's release date in an Instagram post. In addition, the ‘Love Somebody’ singer-songwriter has revealed the artwork for the keenly awaited project. The I'm the Problem cover features a sketch of Wallen donning a white shirt, with the image conjuring up the court-room scene of the country titan when attending his hearing for throwing a chair off the roof of Chief's in Nashville.
It's a similar stylisation to how Morgan Wallen's record-obliterating 2021 project, Dangerous: The Double-Album, with the artwork drawing to mind Wallen's arrest shortly before.
Morgan Wallen teased both ‘Just in Case’ and ‘I'm a Little Crazy’ via socials earlier in March, with the rollout excitingly picking up pace ahead of the arrival of I'm the Problem.
‘Just in Case’ finds the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper looking inwards as he candidly reflects on a recent relationship, admitting he never lets himself fall in love “just in case” he gets hurt.
It's a level of honesty that is mirrored by tonight's second release, ‘I'm a Little Crazy’, signifying that I'm the Problem might be Morgan Wallen's most vulnerable project to date.
With Morgan Wallen booked to perform on Saturday Night Live on March 29th, the project's rollout is picking up pace. We're hoping we'll be treated to more songs in the coming weeks.
The record, which is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year across all genres, is also due to feature recent singles, ‘I'm the Problem’, ‘Smile’, ‘Love Somebody’ and ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, along with unreleased fan-favourites such as ’Since You Got Gone’ and ‘Superman’. The latter was penned for Wallen's song, Indigo.
