After being forced to cancel his second headlining show in Oxford, Mississippi on Sunday, Morgan Wallen has been forced to postpone his upcoming three dates in Michigan, Illinois and New England.

These have all been rescheduled for later in 2023, with the Sneedville country star apologising to fans, but underlining that this was simply unavoidable due to his doctor putting him on vocal rest.

The news comes soon after the Sneedville hitmaker had to rearrange three shows last month due to being placed on vocal rest.

Although disappointing news for fans due to attend these shows, Wallen's latest announcement quashes rumours that had been spreading online that his Mississippi show had been cancelled due to inebriation - something that had already been dismissed by many who had been with Wallen at the event, including one of his openers, Ernest.

After the Sunday show was abruptly cancelled, ticket-holders for Morgan Wallen's upcoming shows were nervous as to whether they'd be going ahead. In a message posted to his Instagram stories on Monday evening, Morgan Wallen confirmed that he'd had to reluctantly postpone them to June and early September.

He wrote, “Y'all know how important my fans are to me, so I feel horrible about this news. There's nothing more I want to do than be on stage playing for you guys. But as of today, I'm on doctor-ordered vocal rest and we have to reschedule this week's shows”.

The ‘You Proof’ hitmaker went on to express his gratitude for fans’ support during recent events, “I appreciate and understand everything you do to get my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%. I'm doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark”.

The shows that have been moved are the ones originally lined up for Grand Rapids, Michigan; Moline, Illinois; and Lincoln, New England, which were meant to take place across April 27-29.

The rescheduled dates have been confirmed as:

June 27 - Grand Rapids, MI

September 8 - Moline, IL

September 9 - Lincoln, NE

Wallen stressed in his message that all original tickets will be honoured for the rearranged dates, and that if any ticket-holders are seeking a refund, they can find details at their point-of-purchase.
