Stars collided during Morgan Wallen's first One Night at a Time tour-stop in Kansas City, Missouri, with the Sneedville hitmaker bringing out Lainey Wilson to perform ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’.

Morgan usually performs the heartbroken, slow-burning track solo, with ’Lies, Lies, Lies’ seemingly serving as the lead single from his forthcoming One Thing At A Time follow-up album.

However, fans at the Arrowhead Stadium were treated to a special surprise, with Morgan Wallen bringing out his good friend Lainey Wilson to deliver the undulating track as a duet. Lainey had performed a high-energy opening set earlier in the evening.

Morgan Wallen offered a heartwarming tribute to the ‘Country's Cool Again’ singer-songwriter before inviting her to the stage, “She is a true badass and we've all believed that from day one, and it's so nice to see the way that she has just blown up. I couldn't be happier for someone. Y'all make some noise for Lainey Wilson”.

This duet is a sweet, full-circle moment, with Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson touring together in 2019 and remaining buddies ever since. Lainey has even mentioned in the past how her partner, Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodgers, goes hunting with Morgan and HARDY.

Some fans had tried to pit Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson against each other following the latter's CMA Entertainer of the Year victory in 2023, with Morgan's comment that “I guess Country's Cool Now’ being interpreted by some as a veiled dig at Lainey. It's now clear they were simply trying to make something out of nothing, with the duo's chemistry radiating throughout their ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ performance.

’Lies, Lies, Lies’ is always one of the highlights of Morgan Wallen's hit-filled set, with the introduction of Lainey Wilson's signature twang adding an interesting second perspective to the track. Their vocals blend together seamlessly, and we're hoping the two hit the studio before too long. Given they're two of the biggest - if not the two biggest - artists in country music, this would be a huge moment for the genre.

Elsewhere during Morgan Wallen's Missouri performance, the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper brought out country legends, Brooks & Dunn, to cover ‘Neon Moon’ as part of his encore.
