After Morgan Wallen wrapped his record-breaking One Night At A Time world tour in October with an emotional double-header in Charlotte, North Carolina, fans were left wondering when they could next expect to hear from the Sneedville megastar.
With no 2025 tour-dates currently lined up, aside from the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival in May, it remains unclear what the next year holds for Morgan.
However, in a new video shared exclusively with fans that attended one - or more - of Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time tour-stops, the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter has provided an update, as well as hinting at more to come 2025.
In the brief clip, Morgan Wallen addresses fans directly, “What's going on, y'all? I know that if you're watching this video, then you spent at least one night on the One Night at a Time tour, so I just wanted to say thank you personally and give you an opportunity to have something cool at the same time - and to let you know I’m working”.
Morgan added the caveat that, while he is indeed ‘working’, he's also enjoying some well-deserved rest, as was highlighted when he was photographed on a hunting trip with his buddies last week, “I’m taking a little bit of time for myself but I’m working also, and I can’t wait to get back out there and see y’all at some point next year. Appreciate it”.
The phrasing of “I can't wait to get back out there and see y'all at some point next year” feels tantalisingly vague, while implying Morgan may be performing more shows in 2025.
At this point, the focus seems to - excitingly - be on finishing his One Thing At A Time follow-up album, with Morgan Wallen dropping the lead singles, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ and ‘Love Somebody’, earlier in the year. The forthcoming project is expected to include previously teased fan-favourites, such as ‘I Guess’ and ‘Good to See You Smile’.
With Morgan Wallen not having released a full-length album since March 2023, his next record is widely expected to arrive in early 2025 - and with any new album, there's usually an accompanying tour. When Morgan performed at London's BST Hyde Park 2024 in July, the ‘Mamaw's House’ crooner teased a swift return to this side of The Pond, shouting, “We'll see you next year!” to the expansive UK audience.
We'll have to wait and see what exactly Morgan Wallen has up his sleeve for 2025, but it certainly feels as though the genre-blending maverick has another blockbuster year in store.
Given the fact that last month Morgan became the first artist in history to secure five No. 1s at Country Radio in the space of a calendar year, despite not releasing an album in 2024, 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger and better for the country music titan.
