Parker McCollum will feature on Miranda Lambert's new album, Postcards From Texas, which will arrive on September 13, with the two Texas hitmakers teaming up for ‘Sante Fe’.
Although the unexpected collaboration isn't yet available to stream, given it's been penned by a stellar cast of premier songwriters - Miranda Lambert, Jesse Frasure, Jessie Jo Dillon and Dean Dillon - we're confident that ‘Sante Fe’ will be another top-tier addition to Miranda's newly unveiled studio album, Postcards From Texas.
Endearingly, as well as being co-written by Miranda herself and the prolific Jesse Frasure, ‘Sante Fe’ also received contributions in the writing room from father and daughter duo, Jessie Jo Dillon and Dean Dillon. Both are highly esteemed songwriters in their own right, with Jessie Jo penning a slew of contemporary country hits, while Dean is known for his trailblazing work with George Strait.
‘Sante Fe’ is joined on the Postcards From Texas tracklist by already released singles, ‘Alimony’, ’Dammit Randy’ and ‘Wranglers’, in addition to an array of never-heard-before offerings such as ‘January Heart’, ‘I Hate Love Songs’ and ‘No Man's Land’.
This will mark the first time Parker McCollum and Miranda Lambert have hit the studio together, and we're excited to see how Parker's sinuous, laid-back croons combines with Miranda's charismatic, swaggering drawl when ‘Santa Fe’ is officially released.
Postcards From Texas serves as Miranda Lambert's first full-length album since 2022's acclaimed project, Palomino, which was largely recorded in-between shows on the road. By contrast, Postcards From Texas was captured at Austin's renowned Arlyn Recording Studios, with the project peppered with homages to Miranda's beloved home-state - as is epitomised on her new single, ‘Alimony’.
