Since her debut album, 2023's Lucky, Megan Moroney has been the queen of the album rollout.
While her debut project featured a emerald green theme across all of its visuals, 2024's Am I Okay? saw a tried and true blue for the Georgia native.
However, since her appearance at the 60th ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas last month where she donned a stunning yellow gown, fans have been speculating that Moroney's next musical era is well on its way and we've recently been given a few new breadcrumbs to chew on while we wait for official confirmation.
During an interview with Audacy's Katie Neal, Moroney shared that she's been putting in hours recently in the recording studio and the writing room, as well as teased what we can expect from country's leading lady.
"This next set of music is a lot happier than what you would expect, but I feel like that's just where I'm at in life. I feel like for once I'm just chillin', I love it," she gushed while also confirming that she knows what color theme this next chapter will be.
"I do have one gut-wrenching song on the album. There's a few sad songs still, cause I would never abandon my emo cowgirl-ness, but for the album as a whole, I do think it's a lot more carefree, sassy and fun," she added.
While also dishing on her heartwarming friendship with country icon Kenny Chesney, as well as her experiences at CMA Fest and the aforementioned ACM Awards, the interview comes just days after Moroney posted a snippet of what we expect to be her next single.
Titled 'Six Months Later,' the clip has gone absolutely viral with the 'Indifferent' singer posting a flurry of videos across Instagram and TikTok using the addictive song snippet.
The track is set to join the Kenny Chesney-assisted ‘You Had To Be There’ and unreleased gems, ‘Beautiful Things’ and Heartbreaker,' on Moroney's momentous Am I Okay? follow-up album.
